Accounts & Access
The right people get the right access, and no one else. Onboarding to offboarding.
The most common security gap is not a hacker - it is an old account nobody disabled, or a staff member with access to files they never should have had.
What I manage
I handle accounts from the first day to the last: onboarding new hires quickly, setting role-based access so everyone reaches exactly what their job needs and nothing more, and shutting down access cleanly the moment someone leaves. Password management and multi-factor authentication close the easy gaps that attackers count on.
Onboarding that is ready on day one
Nothing wastes a new hire’s first morning like waiting on a login. I set up accounts, email, permissions, and the tools they need ahead of their start date, so they sit down and get to work instead of chasing access all week. It is a small thing that says a lot about how the business runs.
Offboarding that actually closes the door
When someone leaves, their access should leave with them - the same day, not whenever someone remembers. Forgotten accounts are one of the most common ways data walks out or an attacker finds a quiet way in months later. I make offboarding a clean, complete step: access revoked, sessions ended, and the important files reassigned so nothing is left orphaned.
Least privilege, without the friction
Most people have access to far more than their job needs, usually because it was easier to grant than to scope. I set role-based access so each person reaches exactly what they should - which limits the damage if any one account is ever compromised - and pair it with a password manager and multi-factor authentication so tighter security does not become daily friction for your team.
