Why “set and forget” backups fail

The most dangerous backup is the one everyone assumes is working. Drives fill up, sync jobs silently break, and a folder that got moved six months ago quietly stops being protected. I monitor every backup and get alerted when one misses, so a gap is caught in days - not discovered the moment you actually need to restore.

Microsoft 365 is not backed up for you

A common and costly assumption is that Microsoft keeps a copy of your email and files. It does not, beyond a short retention window. A deleted mailbox, a compromised account, or a bad sync can lose data for good. I add proper 365 backup so your mail, OneDrive, and SharePoint are recoverable weeks and months later, not just days.

Ransomware and the real cost of downtime

Ransomware does not just encrypt your files - it goes after your backups too. I keep recovery copies isolated so an attack cannot take them out along with everything else, which means paying a ransom is never your only option. And because I have tested the restore, I can give you a real recovery-time number instead of a hopeful guess when every hour of downtime is costing you money.
